Does anyone have pictures of a 225/30R20 tire on a 8.5" wide wheel. I'm wondering it will be too wide and if I'll have to run a 235/30. I really don't want stretched tires. All the manufacturers say its for an 8" wheel, but how set in stone is that?

Check out the profile for AON-OFFDAHOOK for his Lexus IS250. He's running 235/30/20's on the front of his car and they look pretty stretched on an 8.5" wheel. I have 225's on my 20x7.5's and they look perfect...not sure I would suggest them on an 8.5 if you don't like the stretched look.

Here's a 235/30/20 on the FRONT of this car with a 20x8.5:

Actually my front wheels (pictured above) are 20x9. So probably similar what it would look like on a 225 with a 8.5.

225/30/20s will be stretched on an 8.5" wheel. ive got 255/30/20's on my intros and the sidewall is perfectly flush with the lips of the wheels. i wouldnt go anything less than 235's personally otherwise your taking the risk of ruining your wheels.

I ran 225/30/20's on my 20x8.5" wheels long ago and they are stretched. I wouldn't do it IF you don't have to. 245's are flush with the edge of a 8.5" wheel being that its actually closer to 9.5" wide. 245's are what I'm running now.

Ive seen a set of 225/30/20's on a red s10 blazer on the east coast and the lip of the wheels stuck out past the tires. Theres no rim protection, plus it looked funny. run at least a 235 or 245 if possible.
