What is this and do i need it???

This electrical box of some sort was located on the tranny tunnel under the seat of my frontier. I am raising the tunnel right now and have to relocate it or ditch it? So what is it and do i need it??

prob the air bag module.

looks like your ecu you throw that away and that truck aint starting no time soon unless your going carburated

If your truck is a automatic it may be a computer for that, If its a yellow plug its for the airbag.

it looks like an airbag module, since it has a yellow plug on it.

its your srs module with out it your lil air bag light flashes. if you dont know what srs is its for your airbags

The ecu is under the drivers seat. The truck starts up fine without this paticular box......so i guess its for the airbags like u guys are saying.  If i leave it disconnected,  is there any chance of the airbags deploying for nothing? Should i just  move it and leave it plugged in?

sell that bitch on ebay make a little $$$ SRS module aint cheap

theres an idea^^  but i cant get the damn thing off the piece of tunnel its still connected to without completely destoying it. it has some special head bolts that ive never seen attaching it.
