Setting up the front suspension is a very broad topic. I suggest reading some of the sticky topics in the Ask Max and Suspension sections, and picking up a few chassis building books.

Alot of guys do 3/4 frames for their stock floors so they don't have to design a front end from scratch. Would this be an option for you maybe?  Seth is right, it is a very large topic, there can be many issues if something is designed improperly. Books like Design to Win, Tune to Win and Chassis Engineering would all be good books to pick up if you don't already have them.

thanks guys. as far as a 3/4 frame, when we went to load the truck on the trailer for southeast showdown it came off the front off the trailer and hit the winch and k.o.ed the front clip. i cant find a fronty in any junk yards around here to get a clip off of.  does anyone have any pics of frame tables or any tools that will help? thanks again.

I'm not sure what year Mini Truckin's desert dragger was but I do believe they used an earlier Hardbody frame clip in the front of it in plase of the pre runner clip. You could also use a84-95 toyota pickup clip as a starting point and go from there. They are pretty common, there is brake upgrades available for them, they cycle about 12-13 inches of travel and they are 5 on 4 1/2 lug pattern.
