sheetmetal brake?

awhile back there was aguy on here that made a metal brake with a couple of pcs of angle. does anyone have remeber that thread? i cant find it anywhere. i want to make my own now that i have the materials,just cant find the directions. thanks for any help.

has any body elese built this did i do something wrong it wont bend a sharp 90 its kinda rounded

the distance of the set back between the blade(angle) and the face that pivots up determines the sharpness off the bend usually. ideally the setback should be the same as material thickness. up can tweak it in a little more but with alum it will crack if you do it along the grain. a brake press with the right die will give you the super nice tight folds. a home made sheet brake is just that. i might be wrong but they how we do it at work
