Honda Unlock Code

Got an 04 Accord and just changed out the battery, the code from the dealer to unlock the stereo wont work. Called the dealer and they gave the same code, told them it doesnt work, they want money just to look at it since its out of warranty. Any other idea's?

pull the stereo out and give the dealer the serial number on the top of the stereo. most dealers wont give the general public the right code. just call the service drive or wholesale parts dept. and tell them your calling from a different dealer. they will ask you for the serial number and give you the code

look in the owners manul book or the folder its in. sometimes its written in there.

TURN THE IGNITION TO THE 2ND CLICK, BUT DONT START IT. TURN THE POWER TO THE RADIO OFF, HOLD DOWN NUMBERS 1 AND 6 ON THE PRESETS AND AT THE SAME TIME, TURN THE POWER TO THE RADIO ON... IT WILL POP UP WITH THE LETTER 'U' AND 4 NUMBERS, THEN 'L' AND 4 NUMBERS. WRITE DOWN THE 8 NUMBERS AND CALL ME AT WORK 480-421-4895 AND I CAN GET YOU THE CODE. I WORK AT HONDA AND IM HERE FOR ANOTHER 2.5HRS...

on my wife's 2002 odyssey they made me pull the deck out (well, they were going to charge $50 so i did it myself) & give them the serial # off of the top of it & take that in with the registration, my ID, & $5.
i went ahead & did it, i just thought it was funny, because who's going to steal a big-ass stock cd player...it doesn't even have the in dash changer & it's too big to fit in just anything & not quite big enough to be double-din!
on my wife's 2002 odyssey they made me pull the deck out (well, they were going to charge $50 so i did it myself) & give them the serial # off of the top of it & take that in with the registration, my ID, & $5.
