90 honda civic hatchback help

i have a 90 civic hatch and i just bought a new fuel tank for it and thwn i took the old one out i broke the 2way valve thats mounted on the side of the tank. and im not able to get a new one from a parts store...

do i really need it or can i just buypass it?

i dont know what its for so thats why im askin on here.

yes you need it, go to the wrecker or honda to get another one.

what is it for??

im sure if you didnt need it it wouldnt be on there in the first place.
