ive seen some vehicles runnin around, alot of donks actually, they are unibody vehicles but ive seen them put on frames. im NOT building a donk but just a toy for in the woods. throwin a 4x4 frame under a unibody car..but anyways how would anyone go about makin mounts for the body to connect to the frame? i was thinkin of cuttin an s10 floor out and welding it in place of the floor of the unibody car. any help would be appreciated.
look at the piece of junk wcc did, took a perfectly good charger and a perfectly good charger, and made a piece of junk from the 2..... they took the unibody of the new charger and put the shell of the old charger on it...
To my knowledge, most of the lifted donks are not unibody cars(Regals, Montes, caprices, impalas, crown vics etc...all have frames). but I would think putting a unibody onto a frame would be the simplest thing in the world to do. just set the body on the frame and start welding whatever you can get to touch?
ive seen a mid 90s style cadillac deville i believe and it was unibody and set on a ford f150 frame i believe, and at the time i didnt think about doin it..i just want it to be secure and safe. i have to cut the frame off behind the firewall and build my own frame to match the wheel base. i thought about it for a little while and i think im gona lay it out with the biggest wheel possible.but thanks for the input guys!
you should make that car to drive over donks and not dirt... lol!
