xbox live

hey guys, i plugged the ethernet cable into both my 360 and my router, but it won't connect. i did the "test connection" and it says the network adapter is wired but fails the IP address test. would anyone have any ideas on what the problem is? could it be a firewall? i'm not very computer savy. thanks.

I wish i knew, i just play it but have no idea how to fix your problem

reset the cable/dsl modem also, my connection goes out sometimes for no reason. i just reset the router and modem and it usually fixes

i figured it out, i had to change the IP address settings to automatic. my name is "el cadillac kid" for anyone who cares, hahaha.

does anyone on here play xbox live, halo2? if anyone does hit me up my gamertag is ganksta_ganksta

What games do you play? I'm always on Rainbow Six Vegas, GRAW 2 and Forza 2. My Gamertag is Lo94S10, send me a friends request. Oh yeah I still play some OG XBox games too, so I'd hit up some Halo 2 sometimes.
