Im body dropping a hardbody for a friend and im going to make the lower arms into A arms, and get rid of the radious arms, i need to get the bottom arms off, the torsion bars are gone of course and i removed the nut on the front, but how do you get the bolt out and get the arm off????

not clear what your ask'n on nut? but basicly you leave the end metal on that the torsion bar went into ... but you loosen the nut on the otherside , i usally have to us a breaker bar to loosen it .... then once thats off , then you take off the nuts on the metal bar that the torsion goes onto , and remove that ... then just tap out the bolt that the arm is go'n threw...
hope , maybe that helped some...

when you pull the torsionbar off, theres the splined bracket that held it on the arm, you need to take that off, then take the nut off the bolt, then tap the bolt out.

we were slamming that bolt with all we had and it didnt move. thats with the torsion bar bracket off and the nut loosened so we could hit it. that mother is on there.

That bushing doesn't matter if you are making the lowers into A-arms anyway. Correct me if I am wrong but when you convert to the a-arm set-up don't you knock the bushing out and weld in a cross bar and gusset it to the frame and mount your a-arm to that?
