use tirerack.com and you can use different tire sizes to find the overall height

someone was saying there is a small 22" tire that doesnt follow the tire calculation websites and is as big as the smallest 20". That tire is going to allow anyone who could fit the smallest 20 to run a 22 and have the same height, I think it was 26.something. Look up the thread on the Mazda with 22's DIB is doing, they have the name and size in there somewhere.

And I also understand how its shorter than the tire calc says, the aspect ratio is taken from the tires WIDEST point, and sometimes that is the sidewall, not the tread width neccessarily. But the tire calcs all assume that the aspect ratio is in direct proportion to the tread width.

Blah blah blah, I'm confusing the issue. Long story short: if you can fit the smallest 20" tire, there is a really expensive 22" tire made by one manufacturer that has the same overall height.

I find that hard to believe.
The smallest tire out there in a 20 inch is a 215/30zr20.

haha ok maybe the SECOND SMALLEST 20" tire

There was a big bruha about fitting 22's on a mazda till that tire was mentioned, but with it now anyone who lays on 20's can lay on 22's.

I'll try and find the thread and get the dimensions.

kind of odd but i found in on www.tirerack.com

thats 3/4 of an inch differance.

check for yourself's

yes my point is the 255 is smaller than the 245

I am running 245/35/20 Sumitomos and they are 26.8 Inches and laying Rockers 27inches overall on a 22inch tire if thats the case i can fit them now . I wish i waited on buying my rims and tires now . I could have been running 225/30/20 up front and no clearance problems or running 22s with the same clearance problems . Cant wait to see the truck though

27" that really changes eeeeeeverything.

a 255/35/20 is 27"

NCBIGGJ ALREADY STUFFED THAT SIZE TIRE A LONG TIME AGO.

FUNNY!

HA, AFTERALL THIS TALK AND THERE RELLY NEVER WAS AN ISSUE TO BEGIN WITH.LMFAO!!.
