Motor Vehical Laws in TN

Well I currently live in FL and here almost if you have keys to it and a some form of ownership (aka not stolen) you can drive it here. There is no state inspections and about the only thing I have gotten pulled over for is my tag being in the cab window (which was tinted) and not haveing a rear bumper Vs. the rollpan I have. I was wondering some things I might thing about if I get another job offer. Things I really need to know, I did a motor swap and well can I be leagal or do I need to pull an el-swapo (switch windows for a valid sticker if needed). I know it also might depend on the city/county I would be in but I am not sure yet, looking like it would be the western part of TN but have no idea really. Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

I live in west Tn. and you can get by with just about any mod here. About the only thing you might get crap for is the tag being in the window.

well i am just south of Nashville and you will get pulled over for anything here. I have heard of people getting pulled over for not having tags in factory location, having them angled, or even not having them centered. It just depends on where you go, and how many cop friends you make.
