OK people i've got a 1996 civic with a b18c5 under the hood, Lets start from the begining I drove it yesterday afternoon and it was just fine, but when I took it out last night it was not letting me go over 3000 rpms it almost felt like it is hiting a revlimeter and wont let me go ove 3000 rpm now when I drive it, it still wont let me go above 3000 if I shift and stay under it it is just fine can anyone help me plz?

SO U HAVE AN AFTERMARKET INTAKE ON THIS CAR?? ALOT OF TIMES IF THE AIR CHARGE TEMP SENSOR OR MAF SENSOR IS READING WRONG IT WILL KILL ITSELF OR DIE OUT ARROUND 3000 RPM'S..... ACTING LIKE ITS HITTING A REV LIMITER... POSSIBLE A TPS SENSOR GOING BAD.... WHAT ALL IS DONE TO THE CAR??? STOCK??

sounds like its in limp mode. i'm not positive that car has it, but you might be able to do some research on it.

a long time ago my hatch had did the same thing,it was the ecu,i tried out a friends and it ran fine,but when i plugged mine back up,it did the same shit.

could also be a ground. my old integra done the same thing.
