help ....wheel offset question

OK Ive got a 99 s10 but have a set of adapters to run what i always thought was 5x4.5 lug pattern and used to run a set of fwd neepers like that. Right now while the truck is in the garage being worked on a have a set of 2000 mitsubishi eclipse rims on it...and they tuck with the bd good.
OK im gettign ready to buy some wheels and seen some on Ebay thats a good deal. They are 18x7.5 5x114.3 with a offset of +40mm.
I looked around and thats the eclipse lug pattern. so first off is 5x4.5 the same ass 5x114.3? I never thought to much on it and if so
Will that offset tuck on my s10 just fine like the eclipse stockers do now?
