Hey guys. I got an email from a guy with the email address of inamotomotors@yahoo.uk.com. Has anyone ever heard from this guy before. I just had to deal with a scammer that found me on mautofied.com and wanted to see if any of you had ever heard about this guy before i get back to him. Thanks!

Yeah. I guess I didn't explain all of this that well. The scam went pretty much like this. They emailed me and said that they wanted to buy my truck at the asking price. Then a couple emails later when we started talking about how the payment would work he said he was going to send me a check for way more than the price of the truck. The scam was that the check would be stolen and although it would clear in my bank and they would get the vehicle and the "extra" money that I was supposed to transfer to their shipping agent. In the long run I would be without a truck and down the value of the check too. I'm just wondering if anyone has ever heard of this guy or maybe dealt with him before. Sorry for the book but that should explain it. If not you can check out the forums on mautofied.com and under the general discussion there is on Headlined "warning". that will really explain it. Thanks again.

Plus, its not a stolen check he is sending you, its a forged money order. In their country, it is not fraudulent because different places view the crime differently. They generally have a contact in the states to re-mail items and the such, or even a remailing service. Old school scam though.
