Hey guys I was wondering for those who have a bodydroped hardbody, what did you guys do motor/performance wise?

I body droped my 96 hardbody 3.5 inches, droped the motor mounts down to keep the stock hood. Only problem is I modified my aircleaner to clear the hood. Basically I just removed the top part of the cleaner. Now it runs like shit, lugs/chugs/ sputters...you name it.

Let me know if there is a cure....

I had the same problem, it turned out to be a vacuum line. It would run like crap and hesitate under load.

So my question is , by taking off the aircleaner filter cover, shouldnt affect engine performance?

Tom assuming your vacuume lines are correct, there is an air flow sensor in the throttle body and it will make your truck run shitty if you change the airflow to the throttle body. I.E. the FBI air intake deal that came with an "air diverter" that had a plate welded on it to block some of the air flow. I used to get a call everyday when i worked at FBI about this.
