Cleaning gauge cover???

What's a good way to clean the plastic overlay of a gauge cluster without scratching or scuffing it? Seems like I'm forever making the thing look worse than before I attempted to clean the dirt/dust off of it! Appreciate ya'll feedback.......

meguires quick detailer and 2 terry cloths (1 wet, 1 dry). That works for me. They suck to clean though.

Believe it or not you can use regular old toothpaste to polish out minor scratches in the plastic. I like the Swiffer dusting cloths for cleaning the dust off without scratching.
