i've got the oppertunity to pick up a running 70's modle datsun pickup and one norunning both with the l20 in them. I currently have a 67datsun pickup and i want the front disk breaks off the 70's extended cab. will they work on my 67? and will the l20 fit right in where my stock 1.3liter is? The 70's are autos and the 67 is a 4spd.

hardbody dropped spindles will bolt up and you can use a toyota hub on that to get the 5 lug if you have the spindle machined just a hair to allow the bearing to seat on the race correcttly.

I'm not sure, but nissans are pretty good about keeping things compatable like that most of the time. Just look where things bolt up to the frame.

Your 67 uses a kingpin front suspension, so the disc brakes and control arms from a newer model won't just bolt up- you'll have to cut the whole suspension off the donor truck to swap it.
As for the motor/ tranny swap, all of the mounts are different from the pushrod 1300 to the L series motor. You can cut the mounts off the donor truck and weld them to yours, or you can just swap your 67 body over to the newer frame and save all that trouble! Some of the body mounts will be different, but widths are mostly the same, so this may be the easier way to go... good luck!
