spare tire lock w/rollpan??

I just got a smooth rollpan for my '04 Sierra and don't know what to do about the spare tire lock that is connected to my stock bumper once i remove it, does it just pop off?

are you getting rid of ur spare? if so just rip the shit outta all that stuff and cut the crossmember out
