Dropping an 04 Dually

So...I've called around and no one makes a lowering kit for this truck. So, I guess I have to go old school on it? Looks like the only way to have a static drop is to cut the front springs and de-arch the rear spring. Has anyone experianced this problem yet and have gone through this process to acheave a static drop. I'm not looking to bag the truck at this time. FYI..
