Side Swinging Tailgate

Anyone else have any pictures of the hinge setup?

check into some old vw hinges. they are small and able to hold up the weight of a car door. a tailgate should be no prob.

Do you think those could be mounted inside the bed and still work?

im sure you could mount them in the area between the tailgate skin and the inside of the gate. they should still work fine. vw doors open nearly 180 degrees

I did it on an 88-98 Full size chevy with stock tails. I used the hinges off of a 80s chevy full size van rear door. If you email me I might be able to find some pics and send them to you. It was probably 8 years ago, so I dont remember the details.
