Best Rear Setup For Towing?

I am currently in the process of building a 76 gmc/ c10 short bed. It is being built to lay rocker on 22s and drive a lot. Possibly rear setup for 4's. I would like to have it capable of towing, nothing crazy but still being able to tow a decent amount yet still get good lift due to virginia being shitty with laws. So I curious as to my options for setting up this truck to be able to tow?
