I was just about to install a 32/36 carb on my wifes isuzu, but I don't want to use the adapter plates because it will sit to high. Are those intakes cast or alluminum or what? Could I use my miller mig welder for the job or take it and have it done somewhere else?

The isuzu intakes are cast aluminum. I made my own new bottom plate and used a tig welder.
