86 Ford Ranger

I'm thinking of buying an 86 Ford ranger regular cab and i'm not sure of this and was wondering if someone could help me... i know the beds on all old rangers look long but did thy make a long bed and short bed back then or are just all of the old body style rangers long beds?

yes, they have both....get the long bed...its not like the long beds u see on full size trucks...its equal distance in front of and behind the rear axle..

Short beds were 6ft and the long beds were 7ft, and Jason is right there were six inches added in front of the wheels and 6 inches in the rear of the bed.
