Need some tail light info. HELP!

Several issues ago in street or sport trucks mag. the had a tech. article where they installed some little BMW tailights in either the rollpan or tailgate of a bagged GM fullsize, and i was wondering if anyone had the article or knew what model the lights came from... Thanks in advance.
