stupid question

Ive seen some trucks without any inner front fenders, and I was wondering if water got up in there from like rain would it mess up the engine or anythin?

I think my truck would lay out lower if i took mine off.

wont mess anything up unless you stick your air filter on top of your tire without any shield on it.... .my s10 has no inners and hasnt for over 2 years. no damage at all.
