avs switchbox wiring ?

i just got a 9 switch switchbox from avs with the lock and built in relay box. my question is this: there is a spot on the relay box marked ground input. on my 7 switch box, i did not have a ground input, so is this for the relay or lock? does it have to be hooked up? i apoligize for lack of caps and punctuation, we are camping right now and im doing this on my blackjack. thanx

The ground is for the relays, so you'll need it for the box to work.
