I HAVE A 2000 S-10 AND I WANT TO STOCKFLOOR IT THIS WINTER I WAS GOING TO CUT THE TOP OF THE STOCK FRAME OUT AND BOX IT IN WITH 2X2 OR 2X3 SQUARE TUBING. ANYONE HAVE PICS OPF DOING THIS OR SOMETHING LIKE IT? ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED THANKS MIKE...
No real pictures that I know of. If you are planning on just inserting the new frame (2x3) into the old and cutting the top off and moving your cab mounts down it is pretty self explanitory. You might consider doing a 3/4 frame though. I am really happy I did. Much cleaner looking.
inserting the new 2x3 in the old frame is pretty self explainatory.. just lay it in and cut it to fit in nicely and weld it in good and cut the stoc kframe down more then the 3" tall box and fully weld it down the side on the inside at the bottom and on the outside. doing a 3/4 frame does look good without a cab on it.. but cutting the stock frame down is def the faster, easier way for something that is drove and you dont care if you have the hottest frame under it or not.
true thanks for the info iam planning on tearing my truck apart tonight after i go drag the shit out of it 2night. if anyone has pics that would be sweet. thanks for the help. mike...
