Looks good the only thing I question is if it will be to heavy for them to do any good.

I think the sheer weight of a modern vehicle will wear those out pretty quickly. You'll typically only see them now on a T-bucket style front setup, as there isn't a whole lot weight there. They just aren't designed to dampen alot of weight...probably why they haven't been used since the 1940's
Yes it is a design from the 30s and not as efficent as a modern shock....but more efficent then the traditonal friction shock...as far as holding the weight i can adjust them to hold the truck up so yes they will handle the weight...why...they fit the theme of the truck...
