the parts are cheap, I check out ebay.au all the time looking for a bravo bumper and valance. The expensive part is the shipping, anything UPS considers oversize has to go FOB in a container, which means you eiter fill up a whole container and have a distributor here in the US send all the parts the various places they have to go, or you send one container per part and arrange for all your buyers to pick up at the port, which isnt very cost effective.
I have tried everything, I even offered a seller 50 bucks EXTRA to use a chop saw and cut the bumper/valance into 4 smaller pieces so it could be sent through the mail and I could weld/plastic weld it up when it arrived. No dice.
so good luck, hope this venture works out and you have planned for the shipping hassles! When you get up and going I would like a 96 and up bravo bumper/valance.

yep, thats a good idea, if he can trust you lol.
and FYI, dont try to bring in a whole mazda double cab, customs will hold it for cert and if you dont have an RI (registered importer) working for EPA/DOT certification it will be exported back to AU (at your expense) or crushed.. If you take out the motor and trans trying to import the whole thing as parts, you have to cut the frame off at the firewall to qualify. Instead bring in JUST a cab. And hope the local cop doesnt know they never offered that model here, or eventually it will be found and crushed.

if you guys are really interested in doing this, i'd look into shipping with the airlines. I work for Continental Airlines Cargo, as expensive as it may be and i laugh at people and company's that ship this stuff. I'm sure it would be a hell of a lot cheaper then floatin it on a boat over here and trying to fill and entire container. We deal with a LOT of oil rig shit, medical, sports crap, food, animals, clothes, and anything else you could basicly name. and that included car parts, you would not believe the Subaru parts in get in from Narita, Japan all the time. I even remember getting a brand new Saleen body kit going over to New Orleans...
So basicly, see what major airlines fly in and out of oz and contact them to see what you need to do in order to ship with them. At my work i don't just get any joe blow walkin up to drop off boxes. Everyone is a hotshot driver, semi driver, or they work for another shipping company. So you have to have an account with us and be TSA approved to ship your shit, if you don't feel like doing it yourself, there are plenty of expiditers or "middle-man" places that you can go and drop your shit off, and basicly you pay them a lil more to drop it off for you since they already have an account. Just look around and see what you can't find. like i said though, they're not always cheap, but i'm sure it'll be cheaper then floatin it over.

Yeah you could make a killing but remember the first time that truck is at a show and a jealous mofo reports it and you have to answer some hard questions. Have all that money into a truck to see it taken to a crsher. Not worth it IMHO.
