Confusing door popper ?

So I have the custom classic shave kit from grant kustoms on my truck. Today i go to get in my drivers side and it wont open. I can hear it click kind of but nothing so i goto the passenger side and it works. I'm thinking ok maybe my battery is goin dead but truck started fine no problem there at all. But then when the trucks on and you goto pop the door it works like new. Now I got home and it's working good! Anyone got any suggestions?

check the slack in your cable and you wire connection.. when we installed one on my buddies blazer he had to much slack and it wouldnt open...

ware did you ground the popper at

From time to time I have to click my driver side popper 2-3 times. Sometimes it opens on the first shot, but sometimes not. That latch has always been a little sticky though.

i dont think its the cable slack cus how come it would open when the trucks on. The way the custom classic shave kit works is it has a box that has all the relays and everything prewired so all you do is put the box under the dash and ground the box, the a wire from each solenoid to the box and thats it, plus the wire that goes to the battery

Each solenoid should be individually grounded to the body or chassis, and not the door.

Also my kit has a safety option that does not allow the poppers to work while the truck is running.

the ground on the popper ware is it going to ..?did you gound it to the door

Yeah im not sure there was a terminal to ground each solenoid i think it was just the whole box, and mine will open when the truck is on.At first thats the only time they would open. But what i dont get ive had them hooked up since march and no problems till now. Guess I gotta get in there and c whats goin on!
