I have a v8 in my ranger and Im about to do my own frotn suspension and control arms. Question is, what spindle could I use that runs the same ranger lug pattern and has the most available brake upgrades? I want to run an oversized rotor for the size of my motor, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks

i would say like a toyota supra, or rx7. 350z. something like that. those would have the most obvious big brake options.

i'm not entirely sure that there is an aftermarket spindle for rangers yet. also, none of the above mentioned vehicles are going to work either. here's your chance to make your own and sell the rights for millions. good luck

The Toyota pickup front clip would be your best choice. It shares the same lug pattern as your truck does now and will cycle 12-13" of suspension travel with stock balljoints. Any Toyota truck from 84-95(early 95, non Taco) There is a thread on hear about big brakes for that frontend already but you will have to do a search to find it. There is pix on there of a big brake setup that a member on here builds and it looks sic. Good luck in your build, L8.

I already did the toyota front clip. The guy phatty that builds the front brake upgrade does look awesome, but Im looking for the cheaper easier way out, and since Im doing my own front control arms, I figured I could do any spindle. Thats what Im wanting to know, what spindle will have hte same lug pattern and easiest brake upgrade options.

You could still use Toyoya spindles and just build your own arms and mount them to whetever you wind up doing for a rail. Probably be your best bet, it would keep your costs down.

yeah i know, but I want a big brake upgrade kit for my big motor, and even though that phattys guys stuff looks wicked awesome, I think I could do a mustang II spindle with a big brake or something like that. I was just looking for other peoples ideas.

well you see wiener (bdroppeddick), he wants more stopping power to compensate for the power the engine makes>> o.k.? so it could be for safety.
