***Problem getting Dime 2 Start***

yeah we have an s-15 gimmy and the fuel pump just stops workin sometimes. so we just get under there with a big hammer and hit it a few times. like 10. and it works everytime. not sayin this is the best solution but it seems to work for us.

I have had similar problems with my 01 4cyl its becoming a PITA We have found it to me in the drivers side main harness "somewhere" turn the key on and then start jiggling wires in that harness coming out of the fuse block when you hear the fuel pump kick on fire it up and go drag!

Plus I think you referenced "flooding" & fuel injection in the same post? I'm pretty sure its not Flooded if its fuel injected, LOL

sound it is in the fuel system somewhere. you dad could be right or it could be the fuel filter. i would start with the filter first cheep of the two and almost alway the problem in is case

CHECLK ALL OF YOUR FUSES TO I HAD THAT HAPPEN TO MINE AND IT ENDED UP BEING A BLOWN FUSE IT WAS ONE ON THE SID OF THE ASH NOT UNDER THE HOOD

if you drive it low on gas it causes the fuel pump to run hott and burn up thats why if your 1/4 tank or lower on gas to try and get gas soon because if not you can burn up the pump which you probably did because the gas keeps the pump cool and with less gas it runs hot since it tryin to keep up with the demand of the engine and you dont have much gas to keep up with the demand i say its the pump ive ran into the same problem before

i had the same problem about 3 months ago and it was friggin frustrating... is your fuel pump priming (making that whining noise) when you start to turn the key over? if not check the wiring coming out of the sending unit... make sure none of the wires got grounded out!!!

Well I did what George said and you sir are a Fuckin genious I hit the top of the tank and it fired right up it was weird but it works great now. I just want say thanx again to everyone but espically George u just save me a lot of money bro and if I can ever return the favor I will be sure to. Thanx everyone

yea u ran the tank hot like TJ said n the pump stops working n u just knocked it free so DONT RUN IT LOW ON GAS lol no prob. bro anytime n if u need more info on anything my email is one2accelerate@aol.com i.m. me r whatever
