What up everybody So I drove home from work today and pulled my chevy s-10 into the garage and left it for about 20-30 mins and when I get beck in to start it the bastard wont turn over. So my first thought is I may have flooded the damn thing so I left it alone for 30mins. Come back try again and it acts like its gonna start but then it sounds like something is choking and it stalls. I know its not the battery so Im thinking its either the spark plugs or a clogged fuel injectors from driving low on gas...So what should I do so I dont get screwed???

Checks the sparkplug and see if it is firing it could be a coilpack too.

what year model is this truck?? does it have a passlock system (factory security). There is usually some type of chip/pellet in the key if it does. Another way of telling is if you have a security light in the instrument panel cluster. This sounds like it could be a passlock issue. Does your security light flash constantly or stay on when the truck dies w/the key still in the run position?? If so, you may have to get this diagnosed at a local repair shop. The most common failure is in the ignition swith assy. You will have to relearn the system once the repair is made but any shop capable if diagnosing this properly should be able to reprogram it for you as they will need to in order to verify the repair was correct. Hope this helps some.

Well I have come to the conclusion that the ingen isnt getting any gas, so its either the fuel filter or the fuel pump my pops said he thinks its deff. the fuel pump. I know its not the spark plugs or the coil because its firing it just chokes after a few seconds. So Now I guess the bed is gonna have 2 come off which is always a big pain in the ass. But thanks to everyone who replied I appreciate the help.

theres going to be 2 plugs going into your sending unit the one with 4 wires is the one u want to replace n its only like 10 bucks i would start there also bang on the tank see if u can get the pump to kick on there also ground wires make sure they r still all good
