where can i find the silver stuff that you put down under the carpet, like a insulation. i have no idea what it is called just that it's silver with a sticky back. any help would be grate.

You can also use Peel n seal from Home depot. It is usually sold in the roofing section.

It isn't usually as good as the name brand stuff because it is asphalt based, but will accomplish the same thing with enough layers. It is cheaper also, but you have to weigh that against needing more of it.

It also doen't work as well in vertical positions or overhead.....but can save you some money on covering the floor.

I think places like Pep Boys and what not have Dynamat. I saw some at a small electronic store with a small car audio section. So ya try places like that or your local audio shop.

I've heard good things about Fat Mat. I heard people sugest it over Dynamat

check ebay for sound deadening

Dynamat Extreme is the top of the line but expensive. it depends on what you want to spend.

Fat mat is asphalt based but cheaper. They say the asphalt based is stinky and supposedly bad for you. but whatever.
