Are you planning to run a large amount of horsepower through it when you are done or are you just narrowing it to fit the vehicle or wheels. If you are just doing it for fitment then you should be alright with re splined stock axles. If you are looking at pumping some serious power through it it would probably be in your best interest to have new axles made. It shouldn't be to expensive to get a set due to the fact that you have chosen the most popular axle ever to use. This will work in your favour for sure as far as pricing and availibility of parts. Check with Moser and Currie ent. and see what advise they have or parts they can recomend for you. Hope this helps anyways.
