"Z-ing" Process...

Sit the framerails on some tubing that equals the amount of Z you need.. Tack the 1" tubing into place where the cut will be, and at the front of the clip where it will be cut also.. (Keeping everything level).. Cut the frame along the side of the tubing to ensure a good straight cut.. Remove the tubing from under the frame rails so that the frame lays flat with the front crossmember. Weld it back up, plate the sides.

Not positive (not my pics) but I'd think it's maybe 3/16".. That or larger, even 2x2 would work.

Hey Ricky those pics you posted are from the Z i did on my old yota! HAHA

It doesnt matter what wall thickness 1x1 you got its just to hold the front clip from tilting forwards or backwards after its cut from the rest of the frame and making cut guides. You take them off when its welded.
