06 chevy silverado lift

im planning on putting a 7 inch lift on my 06 silverado. my question is that im looking at buying the lift from a buddy of mine who has a 04 silverado. when i look at the kit online it says 99-04 silverado that the kit will fit. is there any diffrence in the suspension and components from 04 to 06 and will this kit work on my truck

well, if u have a 1500 and his is a 2500, will not fit. might want to hop on GMfullsize.com and ask some of the lifted experts over there.
