SSM - Overhauling the magazine

i think its a good idea. whats the prices that your thinking about since your doing this? and also how soon are we expecting these changes? and what are us platinum,gold,silver members going to be able to do to make us want to keep ourupgraded memberships?

i agree, the mag isnt as important as it use to be. i use to want to get my car featured in it when its done but i dont really care much about it anymore. i would however try to find some way to compensate those that paid for access to 2 mags, perhaps extended memberships? good luck with whatever route you decide to take it.

I recently got an idea... we might use the mag format for all the new stuff but do it in chunks. So instead of waiting each month, you get the shows,features,articles,etc on a more regular basis... that way people that like the mag won't see it as such a big change, and we can get the content out sooner...

one thing about this idea that will be cool, is that each feature would get it's own "cover". add an interesting twist..

would there be some kind of generic thing where people could upload pics from a show they went to, do a little write up of sorts then have one of the SSM mods look it over and post it up in the gallery ? I was wondering about something like that incase you had a few people at the same show taking the same pics and also to weed out someone where the only pics they took were of stock-n-drops on big ol bling bling wheels

So what will be the benefit of having a higher account? Will the feature's only be viewable by paying users?

yes, the new stuff is a "replacement" for the mag so it will all require a membership to view it. Just like before. I jus want there to me more to look at and more spead out time wise..

i was also thinking about having something like photobucket for paying members (maybe gold and above or something cause it's alot of bandwidth). So people could post stuff easier...
