Ok so im getting my 3 door handles, 3rd brake light and other things shaved soon but i dont know what i should do because i dont want to completely re-paint the truck yet. Im thinking either have the shop cover the patches with flat red paint, leave the patches in primer or completely cover the truck in primer until i get the entire thing painted.
What do you guys think i should do?
either have the shop leave the areas in red basecoat(which doesnt have any uv blocking properties, so it'll have to be taken off before you paint it, or leave it in spot primer. priming th whole thing will cost you more plus if the paint is decent it makes no sense to prime the whole thing.
Well, if you are happy with rolling around with primer for awhile...Then go ahead and just prime thoes spots. As for priming the whole thing..If the body is is decent shape theres no need to prime the whole truck...Just extra work and money... Anyways Just roll with the primer until you are ready for final paint...
Peace
Just seal the panels u shave in a 2or3 part color matched sealer once its primed/blocked
have them blend everything
