OK, our Nor-Cal chapter of Freaks decided to do a friendly wagon build off since they are kinda popular to pull around shows and stuff. There are 2 teams competing, Lodi chapter (boooo) and Bay Area chapter (us), the rules are, that it must be built for under $250, parts you have don't count towards the total, and the deadline is Summer Madness (this weekend) in Bakerfield, CA. We decided to do a donk with some minitruckin style incorporated into it. It's fabricated 99%, we used the original pull handle, but modified it. eveything else, including the working axles and steering were made from scratch.

So.... on to the pics!

Started with about $75 worth of tubing and Flat stock.

Start of the frame

gratuitous weld shot

We used not a drop of filler on the whole thing

The new pull handle

The axles Fabbed from scratch

Brian and Ryan welding the hubs onto the axle assembly

The rough start of a frame

The beginning of the twin tube body

Skinning the bottom

Nice goin Pete. Now the whole world knows what it looks like before the club even sees it. Sooo much for the debute. Oh and im the one that has to carry that 300lb wagon in the back of my bagged S-10 for 6 hours. Nothin like a little dead weight on an already slow truck.
