Help...... Steering on V8 sonoma................Anybody

You dont really need power steering anyway. I was going to run it, but the manual box is fine. I have yet to curse it while parking in tight spots.

Plus you get the benefit of more HP's without it.

They sell a power steering rack conversion for an s 10 I think my friend jimbo got it from jegs... but if your only probem is the pump hitting the box just custom mount the pump higher..

Thanks for the help guys. I'm going to ditch the power and lighten up the front with a manual quick ratio box.

There is a company called Sweet Mfg. that makes (front steer only) racks that can be ordered in different steering ratios. The cost of them are EXTREMELY fair and they look really good. Give them a call and see if they have something that might do what you need it to. They also have a kit to add power assist to an existing manual rack.
