What is the point of poder coating rotors? If you cut the pad contact area out, what exactly do you see? The edge of them, and the center? What good is that when you have wheels that are massive, and have no real viewing to whats behind them to speak of?

You can see mine pretty well, from the outside of the truck and from under the hood. You can see the color butt up against the wheel.

Joel you guys get powdercoat way cheaper up North eh? Corey was telling me it would cost less to powdercoat his frame than it would to paint.

And $700 to Line-X the frame is a joke. It cost me around $600 to have my frame coated, and that includes all the prep. And god knows there was a shitload of prep. I didn't even clean the dirt and grease off my frame, so I know they had to pressure wash it before they could even blast it. Lol.

^^^^^Not Powdercoated rotors......ewwwww......not so nice. ^^^^Maybe feature worthy...MAYBE!That's why I want to spend the $10 per rotor to have them powdercoated.

I can see having them done if you had a big ass chromed big block or something, where you can pop your hood and have everything shine. Thats the only way I could see having them done. Cuz from the looks of it, with your wheels, you won't see anything from the outside.

Seth, I agree, yours look good, but your wheels are pretty well open.

The guy i'm talking to right now is talking about $5 to $15 a piece. $5 the caliper bracket and $15 being a link bar. For that price you can't hardly autozone rattle can it. Why not have them powdercoated.

I think I'll powdercoat everything but the frame on my next truck. I worry about it too much. I'd rather just paint it next time, and be able to touch it up.

Thats pretty damn cheap dude. Of course everythign is more expensive in CA. But I got some outrageous quotes. The average was between $1800 and $2500 to do what I ended up getting done for $1000. Thank god I found the place I did. I'm a customer for life with those guys.
