Im surprised there arent more instances of trailer balls being thrown off while dragging. It just doesnt seem like a safe idea to me. I suppose with everything in this sport how you mount and maintain them are a big part but Im just worried that accidents with innocent cars on the road will start happening and cause dragging to be looked upon as more dangerous and illegal then it already is.
Dont get me wrong, Im not talking shit about dragging or the people with who drag trailer hitch balls, Im just worried about the future.
Dragging is fun and I enjoy it thoroughly. If someone doesnt want to drag thats completely understandable. I think the people that yell "Drag that shit!" myself included, should be understanding and conscientious to those that choose not to drag.

got it locally from a shop that couldnt use it cause they couldnt machine it and didnt even know what it was when it came in with some steel. its 2 5/8" thick and was 60" long, cut it to 42", i have 2 more 60" pieces and my 14" cutoff yet. its is very very difficuly to work with, even with a full CNC shop. think it sells crazy high like $50/lb, that 60" bar was like 50lbs! i'd sell one of the other bars and cutoff but i'm keep one for a spare for some future project. drilling and tapping was another project, i use (2) 3/4-10 bolts through a bracket and thread into the bar for adjustability.

They get peer pressured into it, knowing they suck at life, their truck burns to the ground, and everyone is sad because they suck.... it just makes the whole scene look like they have a really ... really... low iq.
