I am ready to line my bed with a bed liner. I was going to have it sprayed with line X but I've done body work in the bed and they say the body filler will peel from the heat of the line X. So I was looked into Rhino Lining it and they want almost $500 to do it. SO, I'm thinking more along the lines of doing it myself. I need to know what is the best do it yourself roll in (or spray in) bed liner out there is. I'm just going black so a color match is not needed. What's out there that's worth anything??
Here's a shot gauge took of the bed.
the Bed looks great, can't help you on the liner tho.
I've used a lot of different ones inside car trunk, and in beds..herculiner is the best..if you get a gun and spray it, its almost as good visually as rhinoliner..it doesnt hold up and stay on as good..but if your not wroking out of your truck, I'd say go with it.
please! line x it!! it looks too good for a crappy bedliner!!
I would say try the Herculiner, if you got the DIY route.
I have used the Dupli color brand from Wally world. It faded and got almost a chalky look to it. Held up OK, but cracked and peeled in a few of the bed corners.
Some of that might have been due to prep in the corners, but the fading was just due to the product.

I dont really know why line-x said that....I spray xtreme which is identical too line-x....High pressure/high temp....and ive always sprayed stuff with bodywork/bondo/whatever, with no complaints....

We have had 4 or 5 boxes Line X'd with bodywork without issue. They just tell us there is no warranty because its a custom application though.
However, on the last truck we tried out a 'spay it yourself' type and it looks just as good, if not better than some of the stuff we've sent to Line X. I will check on the brand for you today.
yup im with them. i can count how many times we here at line-x have sprayed over body filler. never having a single problem any of the times
