A few years back there was an s-10 that got so much lift that the truck actually pivoted on the front bumper and began unloading the front tires. It had a 2-link that intersected the driveshaft point so that it would not pull the driveshaft out of the trans.
The problem with too much lift is that the truck becomes extremely unballanced. If the rear suspension has too much more travel than the front then you can not keep them even similar to each other. Too much more than 12" of travel on the street is tough to tune to start with, but 20" + is a nusance and then the fact that the front has half of that is even worse. I can see the fun in it, I've done it, but heed my warning... It is a pain in the ass once the novelty wears off. Be real about it, don't build any more travel than you need. You'll thank yourself in the end.
