i've heard of the belt sander deal quite a bit. everyone says it's so damn hard, and it is...to an average person. but i have seen tons of glass guys cut windshields with almost no problems. You just gotta know how long to cut and how quick. Not saying that I could do it, but I have seen guys down in Florida do it rather easily. As well as quite a few guys on the HAMB.

Good luck with your build.

Last night on Rides the had a shop
some where back east cutting a windsheild
for the roadster. He cut it just like
regular glass then lit it on fire to
harden the plastic inside and then cut it
with a razor blade

Here is a pic of the side windows that i picked up. The origonal window is in the back and was made to work with a wing window. the Short window in the front was just the right lenght to remove the wing window. The tape measure shows 4" from top to top.

You can see the curve on the top of the glass is still in the correct plane to match with the door pillar on a 4" straight down chop. the only real issue i found was the back of the window(where i marked it with tape) is about 3/4" of an inch in from where its supposed to be, nothing you could soak up in the window gasket though.

When i installed it in the door i had to replace the window regulator it was one of those sissor types it had to be replaced with the cable slide type to keep it square.(same regulator the back doors came with.)

I never finished the front window track before i took the roof off the truck..maby another truck another day since i have all the glass including a windsheild.

Anyways thought i would share.
