i know they use it in the body shops around here. all my filler plates we used it.

I work in a bodyshop and all we use is the rattle can type. It works just fine but it doesn't have any type of sealer so it will allow the metal to rust underneath it after a while. So it is not something you will want to leave exposed but if you are only wanting to protect the metal from rusting for a month or so you should be fine.

I got some in a rattle can and works fine. Wouldn't wanna plan on leaving it that way to long though

i want to paint the back side of all my filler plates before i weld them in. b cuz i dont access to them they are tail light fillers stake pockets ect

I would go ahead and prime them with a primer that has a sealer in it on the backside. You will burn some of it off welding them in but they are not exposed to direct moisture so you shouldn't have a resting problem later.
