if your trailer is beating up your laid out truck, let out a little pressure in the trailer tires.
We tow the rockered '86 on 22's laid out. Strap it to the frame tight, and adjust the tire pressure so the trailer has a fairly soft ride.

i always lay mine out, some trucks we put boards under since my trailer has raised sections in the middle. definatly dont strap to the wheels unless you have a static suspenion. i always strap my ranger to the engine xmember and rear notch bar, ALWAYS make sure your straps are at a downward angle from the truck to trailer, ifits downward from trailer to truck, the truck will bouce and come loose from the trailer.
