im going to havasu havoc this week and im going to be towing my bodydropped s10... i've never towed a truck before and wanted some advice... is it better to lay it out or leave it locked up on the trailer? should i have it facing forntwards or backwards or does it matter?? and where's the best place to run the tow straps? im a newbie to towing a mini, i usually just drive them to out of state shows...any help is greatly appreciated..

you can lay it out if its bodydropped the way its supposed to be where the rockers are level with the frame, then all your weight is not on the body because the frame is even with the body....or if its not you can put blocks of wood under the frame and lay it out on that...either way it tows better layed out....as for tow straps i use 4 2 criss-crossed in the front and 2 straight back on each side in the back, hope that helps

i wouldnt leave it locked up either. i would run about 100 PSI in every bag and attach 4 tow straps to the each corner of the frame. tighten the front straps first then the back.

Put some boards under the frame lay it out, Strap it down and your good. Best if the truck faces forward. Just balance the truck on the trailer so your tounge weight is good. Not to much not to little. I wouldn't leave it aired up all the way or even a little. If you air it up with just a set amount of PSI thats great but what if you have a leak, big/small whatever. Just what we have always done hope it helps

The only time i towed my old yota when it just got done gettin the body drop i layed it out on the trail and ran straps thru the wheels to each corner of the trailer. Didnt have any problems and it didnt move on the trailer at all. Just make sure you criss/cross your straps and that will keep the truck from movin side to side.

I towed my truck like 2" off thr trailer and tied the frame down. It didnt move at all. I towed it back aired up, and got worse gas mileage.
