If you want a "Gen 2" front end I would suggest the 99-01 Ram Sport because it is a cleaner look than just the standard Ram front end.
There was a newer Dakota at THW with the 02-05 Dodge Ram front end on it, and it actually looks good! They did a good job fitting everything together, not sure if it is done by now or not?
You could always put the last body style front end off a Dakota too.
